Quick Start

Use the Menu Tab to:
    Find and add items to new orders

How do I place a new order?

Start by selecting the Menu Tab. At the top of this tab you will see buttons to select a category. When you select a category menu items will be displayed below. Find the item you want and press the add button next to that item. For most items you will then be shown an options screen the item. Choose the options you want and then press done at the top of that screen. Repeat these steps to add additional items to your order.

Next select the Orders Tab. At the top of this tab you will see buttons labeled "New", "Placed" & "History". Press the "New" button to review all the items you have added to your new order. Here you can edit the options for an item or remove an item from your order. When you are happy with your order, press the "Place Order" button to begin the checkout process.

You will now be shown the pickup time options. After you select a pickup time, you will be given options for paying for your order. Select "Card" to pay with a credit or debit card, or "Paypal" and follow the on-screen prompts to enter your payment information. Upon successful payment your order will be placed and appear in the "Placed" section of the Orders Tab.

How do I check on a placed order?

Select the Orders Tab and press the "Placed" button. You will see a card for each of your currently placed orders. On the card your order number will appear on the top left. On the top right is the current status of your order. The status will start as “Pending” when you first place the order. Once we have seen your order in-store the status will change to “Accepted”. When we start cooking your order it will have a status of “Cooking”. The status will change to Ready when your order is done.

On the bottom right of the card is the "Details" button which will show or hide all the items on that order.

When your order status is "Ready" you can come and pick it up. If you would like to pick up your order curbside, when you arrive, use our app on your mobile device and choose the curbside option on the order card. If you prefer, you may also call us on the phone to let us know have arrived for curbside.

Do I need to create an account?

We recommend that you create an account but it is not required. You may use the app as a guest but our system may not remember you or the orders you have placed when you use the app again.

By creating an account your order data will be available on any device you choose to use. You can save payment methods and add funds to your account balance for quicker checkout, and view a history of all your past orders.

If you choose to use a guest account we suggest that you leave the app open until your order has finished.

How far in advance can I place an order?

You can place an order ahead for any day in the current week. So for example on a Tuesday you could place an order for Beef on Weck to be picked up that Thursday. On Saturdays you can begin placing orders for the upcoming week.

What about the Specials?

You will notice that most items in the Specials category are only available on certain days of the week. If you put these items on an order your pickup time options will be restricted to the day of the week that item is available. Also note that you cannot have items that are available on different days on the same order. So for example if you want Chicken & Biscuits for Tuesday and Beef on Weck for Thursday you will need to place them on separate orders.

Do you sell gift cards?

You will soon be able to purchase gift cards in the Accounts Tab of our app. Until then you can contact us if you would like to purchase a gift card.

How do I redeem an old gift card from before this app?

If you have a previously purchased gift card please contact us and we can add it to your account for you.

How do I cancel an order?

You can cancel any order before the order status has changed to “Cooking”. To cancel an order, select the Orders Tab and press the "Placed" button. Find the order you wish to cancel and press the "Details" button. At the bottom of the card you will see the “Cancel This Order” button. After you press it and confirm that you want to cancel, the order will be canceled and a refund will begin processing.

How do refunds work?

If you cancel a placed order or if any items on your order are rejected by us, you will receive a refund for those items. If you are using a guest account the refund may take a few business days to process and show up in your banking account or on your card. If you have a user account with us the funds will be immediately available for use in your Jake's Place account balance. If you have any questions about a refund please call us for assistance.
